Ship Security Alert Systems guidance issued... - 11/21/2006
The US Coast Guard issued Guidance for Writing a Ship Security Alert System (SSAS) Annex for a Vessel Security Plan. Owners, operators and masters of US-flag vessels are also advised that the Competent Authority for all US-flag vessels is USCG RCC Alameda. The e-mail address to be programmed into the SSAS for RCC Alameda has been changed from RCCAlameda@uscg.mil to ssas@uscg.mil . While both e-mail addresses work currently, the new e-mail address should be programmed in as soon as reasonably possible. See the document posted below and federal register notice for more guidance.
