The Coast Guard's only operational icebreaker the USCGC HEALY escorts the Russian flagged product tanker RENDA toward Nome through the Bering Sea. The RENDA was chartered to bring gasoline, heating oil and diesel fuel to the city after the late fall delivery of oil was prevented by a storm.
