SHOEMAKER BAY HARBOR

Shoemaker Bay Harbor is located approximately
5 miles from the downtown area and has 250 slips for small and
large commercial fishing and recreational vessels. There are
also tidal grids, an hydraulic hoist, a boat launch and work
float located at the harbor. This harbor is part of a larger
recreational complex with a park and shelter, tennis courts,
playground, tent and RV camping area and trails. Power, water,
waste oil collection and garbage collection is provided. (City

Shoemaker Bay Boat Harbor, had a reported controlling depth
of 15 feet (4.6 m) inJuly 1976. The entrance channel is marked
by lights. The stallscan accommodate 230 small craft, ranging
from 20 to 62 feet (6.1to 19 m) with a 10-foot (3.0 m) overhang.
Metered electricity isavailable upon request, and fuel can be
obtained in Wrangell. Amotel, restaurant and lounge, telephone
service, and a large vehicleparking area are available in the
immediate vicinity. (CP8)

4 miles south of Wrangell.
Purpose: Mooring commercial vessels and recreational
craft.

Remarks: Float 4 is 288- by 8-foot with 40-foot stalls; Float
5 is 304 by 8-foot, with 48- and 62-foot stalls.
Connecting float has 20-foot stalls on shore side. Two steel
grids are located at northeast side of floats
a pile, steel-decked pier. Small Boat Harbor has berthing space
for approximately 259 vessels.

WRANGELL SMALL BOAT HARBOR
|
|
|
Wrangell Harbor (N56° 27.98' W132° 22.80')
is located adjacent to the downtown area and has 230 slips for
small and large vessels plus a transient moorage float and a
deepdraft vessel float accommodating tugs. Tidal grids, hydraulic
hoists, airplane float, two fuel docks, work float and net rack
are also located within this harbor facility. Power, water, waste
oil collection and garbage collection is provided at each float.

Location: East side, Zimovia Strait, Wrangell
Inner Harbor, south of Shakes Street trestle
extension, Wrangell.
Purpose: Mooring commercial vessels and recreational
craft.

Inner Harbor, east of Shakes Island, Wrangell.
Purpose: Mooring commercial vessels and recreational
craft.
