U.S. Senator Lisa Murkowski visited MXAK when she passed through Juneau in February. Along with touring the operations center, representatives from MXAK and the Alaska Maritime Prevention & Response Network spoke about the technology being used for vessel monitoring and live-weather updates as well as the future of maritime transportation in the Arctic.
